If you’ve studied marketing techniques at all, you know article marketing–writing an article about a product or service that you sell–is a great way to get business. First of all, being a web-published writer establishes you as an expert in your field. If someone has read several of your articles about automobile repair, for instance, you’ll be the first mechanic that person thinks of when his or her car breaks down. Article marketing can also bring new customers–as well as existing customers who want to see what else you’ve written–to your website on a regular basis. While there, they may decide to buy.

There’s just one little catch, right? Getting the articles written. Maybe you’ve been told that your spelling and grammar are atrocious. Remember, though, freelance rates vary greatly, so you’ll need to take some time to research rates in your area and makes sure you’re getting a fair price. Avoid people who offer the lowest bids–chances are, they’ll also produce the lowest quality.

After signing up as a member, you are asked to describe the article or articles that you want done. You can choose length, keywords, even the level of talent you would like the writer to have. There is also space to enter special instructions, such as which sites you want writers to use for research or how you would like them to slant the article. Your project is then placed on the job boards where a qualified writer claims it and writes it. You are always free to request revisions if the finished product is not to your liking. Best of all, if you find a writer you like on Textbroker, you can request that writer to write all your articles.

Article marketing is a great way to get word out about your business. Don’t let a fear or dislike of writing rob you of this powerful tool.
